What BCAP Adventurers Do

BCAP Adventurers visit two of our Heart of Brooklyn partner institutions each day. There, they engage in creative projects, exploration and experimentation, games, and educator led tours that weave thematic connections between art, world culture, literature, history, nature, and science. All lessons are consistent with New York State Learning Standards and are lead by members of the educational staff of each institution.

Our Curriculum Model

BCAP's innovative curriculum is a product of a unique collaboration between gifted educators from a range of fields. BCAP is sponsored by Heart of Brooklyn, a unique partnership among six of Brooklyn's most treasured cultural institutions: Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park and Prospect Park Zoo. BCAP takes advantage of these incredible resources by offering thematically linked, hands-on experiences at each of our partner institutions. To meet the BCAP Planning Committee, click here.
