Arranging Early Pick-Up
Arrange early pick-up by speaking to the Camp Director either in person or by calling at (718) 916-0320 on mornings when your camper needs to be picked up early. Your child will be at the Brooklyn Museum Staff Entrance at the appointed time.
Identification
Parents/Guardians will be assigned a pick-up pass to bring with them when picking up/dropping off their camper; it identifies the carrier as a BCAP parent/guardian and allows free entrance to the Brooklyn Museum (BM) when it is open and BCAP Summer Camp programming is in session.
Self Pick-Up & Self Sign-Out
Campers may be granted permission to walk themselves home or take public transportation. In order to request approval for self sign out, BCAP Summer Camp requires:
- A signed copy of our Authorized Pick-Up form, indicating a request for self Sign-Out.
- A hand-written note from the parent/guardian allowing Self Sign-Out by June 13th.
Each request will be evaluated on a case to case basis based on the child's age and the distance that they need to travel.
The BCAP staff will check to ensure that each child who has been granted permission to sign themselves out knows how to get home. If a child who has been granted permission is not able to demonstrate that they know how to get home, we will contact a parent or guardian to ensure that the child receives clear instructions before they are released from camp.
BCAP Summer Camp takes no responsibility for self pick-up campers after they sign themselves out.
