HANDS ON LEARNING We know you love to learn, but the summer is no time for textbooks or tests! At BCAP Summer Camp, you can interact with the objects that you study— touch exotic plants, pet living animals, create your own art, and play at historic sites. You may have already visited some of the Heart of Brooklyn institutions on your own, but with BCAP Summer Camp you get a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at them all! From gardening to art, science to making friends, you get to experience learning at its very best!
COOL PLACES TO EXPLORE Ever wanted to explore a Prairie Dog’s habitat? Ever wanted to be a sculptor? Can you catch a dragonfly? Are you a gardener? We are! We do! Wander around the galleries of Brooklyn Museum and pop into Prospect Park. Catch Fantasia, the 17-foot Burmese Python, swallowing her snack at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and tap into technology at Brooklyn Public Library. Dig in the dirt at Brooklyn Botanic Garden and pet a chinchilla at the Prospect Park Zoo. All this and much more every day at BCAP Summer Camp!
FRIENDSHIP Learning together kindles the best kinds of friendships. With BCAP, you have tons of opportunities to establish long lasting and meaningful connections with new friends. And our annual BCAP Summer Camp Reunion helps you keep up your summer friendships long after camp is through!
COMFORT Everyone benefits from good exercise, but we know that you enjoy taking a break in the cool air on a hot summer day. BCAP Summer Camp balances indoor and outdoor activities so you can run and play, rest and relax.
CARING COUNSELORS BCAP Summer Camp counselors are fun and energetic, but most importantly caring. They are at camp to listen, keep you safe, and make sure that everyone has a great time! Every member of our staff is expertly trained in First Aid and CPR certified. Counselors take a genuine interest in their campers and mentor youth in a meaningful way. Our highly qualified and professional staff make sure that the BCAP Summer Camp experience is special for each and every camper.
